we bring you the news of the qualification of the tanzanian club Young African for the final of the Confederation cup of C.A.F (CAF) following the match of Wednesday 17th of May 2023.
The match against South African’s Marumo Gallants began at home with a score of 0-2 in favor of Young African in the semi-final’s go. On Wednesday, during the return meet, the Tanzanian champion club made it happen again and won 2-1, qualifying for the final.
The Congolese striker Fiston Kalala opened the score for Young African right before half-time (45+1) making the home team lead 0-1 at the break. As the match resumed in the second-half, Kennedy Musonda firmed the addition on the 62nd minute of game. Still, Marumo Gallants managed to reduce the tally in the extra time, thus resulting the final score of 2-1 for the visiting team.
In the deciding match Young African shall be facing USM Alger going against ASEC Mimosas of Ivory Coast, still to be determined.
