The emphasis was placed on the epidemiological situation of the country, covering Covid-19, cholera, measles and monkey pox. In terms of Covid-19, lethality remains stable at 1.5% and a decrease in cases is registered throughout the territory. Sufficient epidemiological surveillance is being maintained, allowing the integration of Covid-19 vaccination into the country’s Routine Expanded Vaccination Programme. To date, 16,282,533 people have received their first dose of the anti-Covid-19 vaccine and 13,654,192 are fully vaccinated.
Regarding cholera, measles and monkey pox, the Vice-Minister emphasized the ongoing response actions that are consolidating the overall stable situation.
The Vice-Minister also informed the Council of the inauguration, by the President of the Republic, of the Tshatshi Camp Military Hospital. This facility, formerly with a capacity of 20 beds, has been transformed into a tertiary hospital through renovation, offering several specialized services with a capacity of 150 beds.
